Emily Watts – Wait For You – Single Review

Review by Tom Coombs

The Kent songstress Emily Watts is back with her brand new single release on the 3rd of November ‘Wait For You’ and she is slowly establishing herself as a musical force.

This new single is certainly a blink and you’ll miss it, with a running time of 2:45? Unheard of these days in the world of the five minute track.  But in this shy of three minutes Emily has packed so much in and blown me away.

The song starts with what I thought was going to kick into a Phil Collins track, you’ll know it when you hear it. But before you know it the fast paced rhythm comes in with Emily’s piano and amazing airy sounding passion filled vocals which make think of only one person Annie Lennox, I think that is a pretty high compliment, and of course Emily herself after her .  The whole song is just a phenomenon of absolutely mind blowing good music, from note to note, to tone to tone.

If you do one thing after reading this it is going to buy this song on one of the many platforms it is available and add it to your Spotify playlist, I for one will be doing this.

‘Wait For You’ by Emily Watts is out now and is available here.

5 Stars -  A phenomenon of absolutely mind blowing good music

We do not normally give 5 stars for singles but this was so good we had to, plus I’m the Editor - TC
